Most of the music I've released since my first album in 2015 (which was successfully funded and released via Kickstarter) has been fiction and inspired by mythology, fairy tales, etc., but recently I've been inspired to look into my past at some of the things I've experienced and found some really great TRUE (or inspired by true) stories that I finally wanted to share. There's a bit of fiction in there, too, including a spooky fairy tale because hi, I'm still me 👻.

Kory Shore is producing the album in Los Angeles and I'm currently living in San Diego, driving up regularly to do vocals. He has me on a monthly payment plan for each song (out of 11 on the whole album) of about $1k per month for a year (September will be the final month), plus mixing/mastering, which comes out to a total of about $1500.

We have been recording a song a month, and have been fundraising along the way for each song, but it's time to fund the rest of the album, so I can focus on creating the art, promoting the songs properly, and less on whether I'm going to make enough each month.

I've also run into car issues, recently because my car is OLD. It's a 2011 and has over 203,000 miles on it, and I need a vehicle to continue my treks up to LA to finish recording, so this would help in case I need to be able to afford a car payment in the future.

Why I Need Your Help

• Recording is expensive and the artists I will be hiring deserve fair pay
• Kory and I have already worked recorded most of the songs, but I'm still getting charged for them.
• He has agreed to give me a day rate (which he thinks will take two days) to record each song which ends up being lower than his usual "per song" rate because I am so prepared
• I play these songs regularly with my looper and have most of the parts already figured out, but there are already things that Kory is bringing to the table that I would not have thought of myself which elevate the song. For example, he suggested I sing another melody on top of my existing melody in the latter half of the chorus of my song Future Ex Girlfriend to add some cool texture and - HECK it's cool.
• I make my entire living as a musician and livestreamer, and have the ability to record myself, but my skills are limited and you all deserve the best versions of my songs possible, which means hiring people who are experts in areas that I am not, which I simply cannot afford to do on my own.

Where Will the Funds Go

The funds from this campaign will go to:

• The Producer, Kory Shore
• The Mixing Engineer
• The Mastering Engineer
• Fulfillment of physical rewards (I learned from past mistakes that these need to be included in the initial funding goal)
• Marketing
• Artwork
• physical media production (vinyl??)
• Stretch goals for fancy music videos?

Risks & Challenges

I will be recording this song regardless of whether we reach the funding goal, however not reaching the goal in a timely manner will delay mixing and mastering and thus the release of the songs/album.
